What is Reiki?

Reiki is an effective healing process for physical, emotional and spiritual ailments. This is done using external energy sources at various coloured frequencies specific to the Ailment. The energy is channelled through the Reiki practioner and into the part of the patients body that is suffering.

History

Reiki was founded by Usui sensei in the early part of the last century. Born in Japan to a well-respected samurai family Usui sensei was an already accomplished healer however he found that he was using his own life energy to heal. This form of healing was making him weak and not able to perform healing treatments as often as was needed.
Although the actual early history of Reiki is still pretty much a mystery to the western world, it is viewed that Usui sensei found through concentration and the use of symbols he could channel energy through his body and out through the hands. This made it possible to heal people but not deplete ones own life energy.

In all there are 7 levels of Reiki, the first 4 have been gifted to the western world. However the last 3 and the complete accurate history of Reiki is still a closely guarded secret and held by the  Usui reiki foundation in Japan.

Who is Steve Flaherty?

Steven Flaherty Served in Her Majesty’s Forces for 15 years. Having served all over the world under sometimes-hostile action conditions. After leaving the Army he operated in Iraq for 4 years on various high profile US government Contracts Again mostly under hostile action.

Steven is a Qualified and naturally gifted Reiki Practitioner who was drawn to the healing modality through a desire to seek a more rounded and fulfilling life.
Reiki gives Steve a way to explore the effects that it has on the human body. Most importantly however it helps Steve to spread this wonderful gift and help people.
